How to Crop and Edit WordPress Post Thumbnails

Are you frustrated with automated thumbnail sizes which crop the image from the middle and cut off the sides. There is an easy solution for cropping and scaling post thumbnails. In this article, we will show you how to crop and edit WordPress post thumbnails.

Summary of this Tutorial:

Start by installing and activating the Post Thumbnail Editor plugin.

Then go to add a new post and add an image to the featured image area.

There will now be a link below the featured image.

Click on the post thumbnail editor link to bring up a new screen.

Now you can edit the image to suit your needs.

For older images you can go edit them directly from the media library.

Note that only the selected image sizes will be edited and your original will still be there if you need it.
