Markdown is something that users may have heard from others talking about the Ghost blogging platform. Markdown is a simple markup language that converts plain text into HTML. In this video, we will show you how to use markdown in WordPress.

Markdown is a language that converts plain text into html code.

This is great if you use a text editor to write your posts for WordPress.

This way you can add your formatting while writing and when you add it to your WordPress post the formatting is already there.

In order for the markdown to work on the WordPress site, install and activate the wp-markdown plugin.

Then go to Settings, Writing and scroll down to the markdown section.
